Multi-factor auth, invite collaborators to your team, and a special community hackathon
Magic newsletter #11
November has been a magical month!
We released new login methods and auth capabilities to strengthen security and streamline your workflow, plus created meaningful space to connect with our global community of ambitious builders.
Multi-factor authentication is a common way to add a second layer of security to an account — especially important if you’re building a fintech or decentralized app so users’ valuable assets are secure.
With Magic, you can now offer end-user MFA through mobile authenticator apps like Authy or Google Authenticator.
To get started, it’s just one click to enable MFA right from your dashboard. You can add MFA to your app either by using the plug and play Login Form settings panel or by calling the SDK method. Head to this doc to learn more.
MFA is currently compatible with end-user accounts created via email magic link or SMS login. Stay tuned for support for primary factors like WebAuthn and social login in the future.
Free until 2022
To celebrate the launch, we’re making MFA free until the end of the year! For more info, see our MFA documentation here.
As part of our ongoing commitment to security for our customers, we’re rolling out another double $ bounties promotion through our HackerOne bug bounty program. We welcome security testers of all backgrounds and levels to join us in our efforts to secure Magic services.
When it comes to building great apps, collaboration is key. Now you can invite up to two collaborators to your team for access to the dashboard. This means more help to integrate Magic, update branding, or manage users.
Need more than 2 seats? Click Contact Sales via the dashboard to get in touch.
This doc covers more info on managing your team, along with billing and permissions.
